The Conch Shell
Believed to have the power to summon both men and spirit protectors, the conch stands for power. Called “the original trumpet,” its blasts were thought to banish negative energy, avert natural disasters, and shield from harm.
The Sand Dollar
Originally a kind of sea urchin, sand dollars have a mythic history. Some believe they symbolize God’s presence on creation; five doves are said to reside within their dusty white shell—the five angels that sang to the wise men on Christ’s birth. Others think they are coins, weathered over time, dropped by the people of Atlantis – or tokens forgotten by mermaids.

The Anchor

Representing our connection to the sea, and the waters within us, the seashell is connected to several goddesses of beauty—like Aphrodite.

A resilient creature that regenerates constantly, the starfish navigates the sea by intuition. Highly sensitive, it symbolizes guidance and vigilance.
The Oyster
With just a grain of sand, the oyster beautifully transforms something simple into a luminous pearl. To some, it serves as a lesson that the most valuable treasures are crafted with care over time.
The Crab
A crab makes its way on land sideways, never taking a direct route. This roundabout way of travel makes for an interesting journey, and so the crab has become a symbol for trusting one’s instincts and the path ahead.
