Ah, sweet summertime – is there anything better? From beautiful beach days to delicious BBQs, summer is truly a time to seize the day.

However, there’s something to be said for when the sun goes down. Summer nights unlock a whole new world of fun that we may not have even considered. Check out our top three tips of where to go and what to see.

_____

1. Sunset Snaps - Everyone loves a sunset photo on Instagram, so why not get the ultimate shot by heading to your local beach, lake, or other body of water? There’s something magically irresistible about the sun sinking into the horizon, shimmering on the water’s sleek surface. Bonus tip: Make the evening extra fun by arriving early and enjoying a picnic in the dimming daylight.

2. Cruise into Fun - Drive-in movie theaters are pure retro fun, so locate the one closest to you for an unexpected night out. Find the friend with the biggest car and round up your silver screen squad. Many drive-ins show double features, so be sure to have plenty of popcorn and candy on hand!

3. “Wine” Down – There’s really no bad time to visit a winery, so why not stop by in the evening? The hustle and bustle of the day will have subsided, giving you ample time to enjoy the experience without feeling rushed. If you’re in the Rhode Island area, Carolyn’s Sakonnet Vineyard in Little Compton takes it to the next level with the ALEX AND ANI Summer Concert Series. Hosted on the vineyard’s grand stage, the series showcases a local band every Thursday from 6:00 PM-9:00 PM. Get ready to dance the night away!
